Does your vet will recommend a specific diet for your dog and do you use? My vet recommended Eukanuba and I never thought it was the best choice so that we do not listen. I wondering if maybe they had perhaps promote certain companies or something.
My vet recommends Science Diet. I do NOT use Science Diet, the food is horrible. Veterinarians are * NOT * nutritionists. This is not what they are trained. They are trained doctors to be animals to diagnose disease and perform surgery and with such veterans. get very little education in food (and what they receive is usually written by Hills, the makers of Science Diet). They recommend the food they have heard more, usually food like Science Diet, Iams / Eukanuba, etc.. I suggest doing some research on your own to determine food for dogs to buy.
