purina dog food information
Ol’ Roy Dog Food!?!?!?!?

My dog LOVES Ol’ Roy dog food and he gets really upset if we don’t give it to him but i’ve been hearing horrible things about it.My dog has been eating it since July could it have done anything to him?
We give him Purina(i think) and then about 6 pieces of ol’ roy.Can it hurt my dog?And does anyone have any information on it?PLEASE HELP!!!
Omg!!!!!Will it make him die:’(.

Both the dog foods you mention are pretty bad – corn based junk food more suited to cattle feed than nourishment for dogs.

He won’t “die” on this stuff, just as you wouldn’t die on McDonald’s every day, but it will make him fat and undernourished eventually.

Can you not switch to some decent dry kibble that lists meat as the first ingredient, no corn meal, wheat gluten, or artificial preservatives?
I feed my dogs Canidae, it’s excellent, costs a little more, but is way cheaper than vetting a dog sick and malnourished from eating junk for years.

Go to a feed store (Ranch Hand in this area) or pet store that carries good dry. Don’t buy in Walmart or the Supermarket (or even Science Diet at some vets – that’s corn meal junk too) – get a good dry like Canidae or the equal, with meat as the first ingredient.

Introduce the new food slowly, 1/4 new, 3/4 old, then gradually, over a few days, make it all good new dry kibble.
